Geotropism:
Corey Antis

Geotropism is an exhibition of new work by artist COREY ANTIS, graduate of Cornell University's BA and BFA program.  Antis' drawings, paintings and installations have been included in a number of solo and group exhibitions throughout the east coast. Geotropism includes a body of new works on paper rendered in gouache, acrylic, graphite, and marker.  The works in Geotropism are largely a result of Antis’ investigation of public and private architecture, and the expressive potential of technologically-transformed space. The resulting forms suggest underground military and private bunkers, and the work considers how hybrids of organic and technological landscape are used in this context, how architecture can function as a non-site and how these fictional spaces can be represented.
