Endo Gainer:
J. Patrick Walsh III

J. Patrick Walsh III will be exhibiting a series of recent works under the title Endo Gainer, which refrences opposite physical contortions, with an endo flipping the body forward and a gainer flipping backwards. Endo Gainer will include drawing, sculpture, painting and video created between Chicago, the artist’s residency at the Contemporary Artist Center in North Adams Massachusetts, Scranton Pennsylvania, and New York City. Works included in the show explore themes related to displaced movement, attempted gestures, vision, companionship, and healing through travel.

“I believe the work will have this fleeting experiential notion of movement off in the distance or taking you away, it is about a nomadic influence, motorcycle riders do endos, and drifters do gainers”

J. Patrick Walsh III has exhibited recently with the Everhart Museum in Scranton, PA, Southern Exposure San Francisco, ArtLedge Chicago, Locust Projects Miami, and the Contemporary Artist Center Residency North Adams MA. He received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is the editor of Busters Magazine.

“I want you to travel, it is a daydream, you will see things in different ways. This will help you through it. There is a rug. There is Solid Vision. There are the Twins and a moving shadow.”
